70s, the roots of the story between Squale and the State Police
The years spanning the 60s and 70s were the years in which divers such as Jacques Mayol and Enzo Maiorca broke records and attempted to go beyond their limits. Precisely during these heroic feats, the Italian State Police Diving Unit provided assistance to guarantee the safety of the champions of which Squale was a proud supplier
2016 POLIPETTO
The supply relationship with the Italian State Police began in 2016, when Squale was chosen as the official supplier for the operational needs of its Diving Unit.
For the occasion, a special edition of the 2002 collection was created according to the specific requirements of the Nucleo Sommozzatori.
2018 BRONZE ANIVERSARY
In 2018, to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the State Police Diving Unit, a second version of the 2002 model was made with a bronze case.
At the same time as this special edition, a limited version of 60 pieces was released for sale, without the State Police logo.
2021 THE TRIBUTE
In 2021, Squale decided to donate a commemorative box set to the Polizia Di Stato, containing a prototype of a Squale watch dating back to the 1970s, and a "Galeazzi" knife, a tool used in those years by special forces. The box set is now housed in the Police Museum.
